BuildZoom is the only trusted marketplace for high-value renovations and residential construction, a $250B market in desperate need of disruption. We guide people through the challenge of finding and hiring the right contractor for their project, saving them time, money, and aggravation.

We’ve hit an inflection point and are scaling quickly; this year alone, we’ll manage nearly $400M in projects and are doubling each year with a clear path to becoming the category defining company in residential construction. The market is notoriously challenging and we’ve developed the first scalable platform solution as a result of our passionate and talented team. As we enter this next stage of growth, one of our most significant challenges is to maintain a high bar for talent while scaling.

We’re looking for a uniquely skilled individual to join our team and spearhead our recruiting efforts as BuildZoom is growing fast and looking to add people across multiple roles. The ideal candidate is someone attracted to the challenge of surpassing aggressive goals in a fast-paced environment who approaches recruiting with a marketing optimization mindset, obsessing over the conversion funnel and eliminating undesired drop-off at every point.

Responsibilities

  • Work with company leadership to develop sustainable quarterly and annual hiring plans and then work to ensure we hit critical hiring goals while maintaining high standards
  • Primary ownership over recruiting funnels, from top-to-bottom. You’ll be constantly analyzing, reporting on, and optimizing everything from our evaluation processes to the copy being used in our job ads
  • Design, plan, and execute recruitment strategy including employer branding activities, referral programs, and university recruiting
  • Actively conduct selection process including sourcing and interviewing
  • Determine recruitment KPIs and build out reporting
  • Oversee and provide coaching and mentorship to the Talent Acquisition team

Requirements

  • 6+ years in recruiting/talent acquisition, with 3+ years as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar leadership position
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills; you can use data to inform your perspective, drive strategy, and decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); you can collaborate well with cross-functional leaders to achieve optimal results, and understand how to grow, mentor, and lead high-performance teams
  • Flexibility and versatility; you appreciate the value of execution in the learning and discovery process, and are an agile learner capable of tackling new challenges and responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques
  • Strong grounding in operations / organizational processes
  • Highly driven to achieve results
