About the role

Contracts are the most important unsolved problem in modern business. Every company, in every country, in every industry runs on contracts, but managing these contracts slows companies down and costs them millions of dollars.

At Ironclad, we’re reimagining contracts. We’re turning them from rate limiters on the business to accelerators. L’Oréal, Staples, MasterCard, and leading innovators use Ironclad to collaborate and negotiate on contracts, accelerate contracting while maintaining compliance, and turn contracts into an organization-wide source of critical operational data. We’re backed by leading investors like Accel, Sequoia, and BOND, and we’re a Fortune Great Place to Work.

We are open to hiring for this role in our San Francisco and Remote hubs. We are open to hiring into both Senior & Staff level positions, depending on experience.

About this role: Ironclad is building the world’s first document editor made specifically for the needs of legal teams and their collaborators. Legal negotiation hasn’t changed in decades, stuck in a process where contracts are edited in Word, shared via email, and lawyers have to chase down multiple versions stored on people’s local hard drives. The process is inefficient, slow and often leaves teams with no way to track what they agreed to and who agreed to it. Ironclad’s cloud-native legal Editor promises to transform this process, allowing for deep collaboration, structured data-tracking and advanced contracting tools that empower non-legal team members to manage simple negotiation. This can transform the way legal teams work, allowing complex agreements to be created more quickly, with less legal involvement and with actionable data that can power the rest of the business.

We are looking for a PM to lead our Document Engagement team. They will define and execute a strategy to ensure the Ironclad Editor becomes a central tool for teams looking to effectively and efficiently negotiate their legal agreements, a task that will require driving hard trade-offs while still prioritizing quality of user experience. With our team growing, we’re looking for someone who is excited to develop into a mentor and leader within our Group, helping PMs grow and improving the performance of the team as a whole. What’s best, you’ll be joining a company of smart, driven, and low-ego teammates from places like Salesforce, Google, Dropbox, Palantir, DocuSign, Zendesk, and Harvard Law.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the world’s product expert on the process of contract collaboration, editing, versioning and review.
  • Make hard trade-offs that effectively balance core functionality with key legal-specific differentiators (Word has a 40 year head start on document editing, it’s going to take more than copying them to drive real value for our customers).
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building alignment on priorities and product roadmap
  • Lead product strategy and roadmap execution for Ironclad’s Document Engagement Roadmap.
  • Quantify and measure success to inform product prioritization and decision-making
  • Provide mentorship and leadership within the Group.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics or demonstrated ability to engage effectively (and drive outcomes) when working with technical teams.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for talking to end users and understanding their world.
  • Recognized as a collaborative and influential leader; a great partner to all functions.
  • Strong track record of owning end-to-end initiatives and launching impactful products.
  • Exceptional product sense and strategic thinking.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Benefit & Perks:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k
  • Wellness reimbursement
  • Take what you need vacation policy
  • Generous parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers
  • Commuter benefits

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
